Cicero Triathlon
The 25th Annual Cicero Triathlon will be held on Saturday, August 9, 2008.
Our triathlon is a sprint event beginning with a .2 mile swim across Morse Lake. The bike portion (9.5 mile loop) begins at Red Bridge Park in Cicero and follows a course through a residential section and across country roads. The last leg of the event is the 3.1 run (loop) also on the roads surrounding the Cicero community. Athletes from across the Midwest come to Cicero to participate in our Triathlon and we have received many positive comments. We strive to have a fun, competitive, and safe event for our participants.
Cicero Waterfront Park Project:
The Town of Cicero is embarking on a project to enhance the 236th Street/Jackson Street Causeway aong the area in which the Triathlon begins. A concrete walkway with landscaping and picnic areas is planned as way to welcome boaters and visitors to the Cicero area. Please consider making a donation along with your entry fee to this cause. $1 is fine! We'd like to make a contribution on behalf of the triathlon participants over the past 25 years! Thank you.
