Announcement! 

The 30th Annual Cicero Triathlon will be held Saturday, June 8, 2013! 

We have decided to move up the date to avoid water quantity and water quality issues that we have had to deal with in August the past several years.  A June date will also be good for those participants who want to use our mini-sprint Triathlon as a training race for longer events in the season.  And it will remain a great event for beginning tri-athletes!

Cicero Triathlon

The 29th Annual Cicero Triathlon or Cicero Drought Duathlon was on Saturday, August 11, 2012. 

Our triathlon is a sprint event beginning with a .2 mile swim across Morse Lake.  The bike portion (9.5 mile loop) begins at Red Bridge Park in Cicero and follows a course through a residential section and across country roads.  The last leg of the event is the 3.1 run (loop) also on the roads surrounding the Cicero community.  Athletes from across the Midwest come to Cicero to participate in our Triathlon and we have received many positive comments.  We strive to have a fun, competitive, and safe event for our participants.
